Luigi Romano was born in Naples, Italy in 1994. He studied Mechanical Engineering at University of Naples Federico II, where he won the best student prize in 2016. Currently, he is a PhD candidate in Vehicle Dynamics at Chalmers University of Technology. His research interests include automotive technologies, intelligent transportation systems and optimal control of ground vehicles. He has authored and co-authored several papers on tyre-road contact mechanics and smart tyre concepts.
