Beschreibung
For years, Rob Brezsny has written "Free Will Astrology," a syndicated weekly column that appears in over 100 publications in North America, as well as in translation in Italy, France, and Japan. He is also author of the best-selling book Pronoia Is the Antidote for Paranoia: How the Whole World Is Conspiring to Shower You with Blessings.

Now, for the first time, Brezsny is publishing an astrology book: Astrology Is Real: Revelations from My Life as an Oracle.

It's a blend of a memoir, oracles for readers, and essays about the art of astrology and mythopoetic intelligence. The eclectic tone ranges from pop to literary; from lyrical to philosophical; from searing critiques of hyper-rational, machine-style thinking to a celebration of the scientific method and soulful thinking.

And it's all undergirded by his essential passion: the I <-> THOU relationship he cultivates with his readers. The book extols the gifts and education he has received through their generous responses to his work.

Astrology Is Real is a book you don't necessarily have to read sequentially straight through from beginning to end. You can start anywhere in the book and read here and there, trusting your intuition to find exactly what you need, exactly when you need it.

Über den Autor
Rob Brezsny is an aspiring master of curiosity, macho feminist, spiritual freedom fighter, and founder of the Beauty and Truth Lab. If you ask him, "What consistently incites your lust for life?" he will say "making stuff." He is devoted to creating writing, music, and shows.

More than that, he regards every moment, whether it's conversing with the clerk at the 7-Eleven or riding his mountain bike up a steep dirt path or lovingly meditating in his riotous sanctuary, as a new opportunity to add to and refine the work of art that encompasses all the rest: the performance art piece that is his life.

In addition to writing books, Brezsny is a singer-songwriter who has created five music albums. Three were with the band World Entertainment War. Bill Graham, one of rock's top impresarios, managed the band until his death. World Entertainment War's CD, "Give Too Much," serves as the soundtrack for Brezsny's book, "Pronoia Is the Antidote for Paranoia."

Brezsny has performed in more than 700 shows, from intimate performance art venues to giant rock concerts. The story of his life in music is recounted in his book, "The Televisionary Oracle."

These days, he periodically performs a solo show called the "Sacred Uproar." It's a pagan revival extravaganza featuring rowdy prayers, insurrectionary incantations, tender rants, praise songs, chaotic meditations, ritual antics, musical elixirs, and Dionysian sermons.
