Dr. Niketa Chotai (MBBS, MD, DNB, FRCR and FUOT) is a consultant radiologist at RadLink Diagnostic Imaging Center and a Visiting Consultant at Tan Tock Seng Hospital, Singapore. Over the past decade, she has been practicing as a Breast Radiologist. After graduating as an MD (Radiodiagnosis) from King Edward Memorial Hospital, Mumbai University, and as a Diplomate National Board, Delhi, India, she practiced as a consultant Radiologist for 5 years in India. She then pursued her FRCR from Royal College of Radiology, UK, and subsequently completed advanced specialist training (AST) from Singapore. Thereafter, she continued her learning journey as a breast imaging fellow at the University of Toronto, Canada.
Dr. Chotai is a registered member of several societies, including the Singapore Medical Council, the Royal College of Radiology, London and the Maharashtra Medical Council, India. She was in charge of continued medical education activities for the breast subsection of the Singapore Radiology Society from 2015 to 2017 and is currently acting as the General Secretary for the period 2017 to 2019. She is actively involved in various research activities and has published in numerous peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Chotai is as passionate about teaching as she is about learning. Over the past few years, she has run courses and workshops on breast imaging and intervention in South Asia. This book is an extension of her passion for sharing her knowledge and growing the breast care community for a healthier world.
Dr Supriya Kulkarni (MBBS, DMRD, DNB, and DABR) is a staff radiologist at the Joint Department of Medical Imaging (JDMI) at University Health Network, Mount Sinai Hospital and the Women's College Hospital, Toronto, Canada. As faculty in the Department of Medical Imaging, University of Toronto she has over 19 years of experience in the subspecialty practice in Breast Imaging.
After completing radiology training in theUniversity of Pune and National Board Delhi India she pursued fellowship training in Paediatric Imaging in Melbourne, Australia and in Women's imaging at the University of Toronto following which she was recruited as a subspecialist breast imager at JDMI and as assistant professor at the University of Toronto.
Dr. Kulkarni's special focus is in teaching and education internationally and currently manages educational activities for the breast division including CME's, workshops and the Women's & Breast Imaging Fellowship Programme (University of Toronto).
She is a recipient of several teaching awards including the prestigious Wightman-Berris Academy individual postgraduate teaching award (2014-2015) & the Outstanding Contribution to Cancer Education Award awarded by the Princess Margaret Cancer Education Program 2017.
She is involved in an advisory capacity for multiple initiatives of the Cancer Care Ontario and the provincial Ontario Breast Screening Program and has served as a Chair of the OBSP Screening of Transgender People Working Group at the Cancer Care Ontario. She is a member of the working group for the breast screening guidelines for the Canadian Association of Radiologists.
