Beschreibung
*A Financial Times best summer book of 2023*

'This important book demonstrates inspiring, practical innovations already being implemented and shows how, together, they can weave an entirely new fabric for society.'
Jeremy Lent, author of The Patterning Instinct and The Web of Meaning

'A treasure-trove of ideas for practical world-changers.'
Prof. Rupert Read, author of Why climate breakdown matters and Co-Director of the Moderate Flank

'A powerful step toward achieving the world we need.'
Prof Nathan Schneider, author of Everything for Everyone: The Radical Tradition that Is Shaping the Next Economy

We desperately need a new economic system to help us avert the environmental crisis. This book describes the new system we need, and it shows us how to build it.

In Building Tomorrow, Paddy Le Flufy brings together six organisational technologies being developed and implemented by pioneering experts. Each of them fundamentally redesigns a key element of our economic system. Together, they can transform it into a new system - one that can help us avoid the catastrophe looming on the horizon.

The book aims directly at creating systemic change by providing people with both a holistic vision of a new economic system and the tools with which to build it. The majority of the writing is about positive real-world examples and potential future developments, which show how people throughout society (such as the readers) can themselves help build the new system. Those that do will be creating a better world.

'It's such a relief - and a wonder - to engage with real, deep, granular thinking on exactly how we create systemic change... Essential reading'
Manda Scott, author and host of the Accidental Gods podcast

Über den Autor
Paddy Le Flufy earned a degree in mathematics at Cambridge University and qualified as an accountant at KPMG in London. He then spent years living something of a double life. He worked as a finance specialist in London for six months at a time, but he used his money to live in remote places, alongside people whose lives were drastically different from his own. He has travelled with economic migrants, been taught to fish by rural Mozambicans, and lived with Hadza hunter-gatherers. He spent two months living with an indigenous tribe in the Amazon rainforest, then won a Royal Geographical Society Award to spend an entire year being taught by traditional wisdom-keepers from another jungle culture. Since 2015, Paddy has been based in the UK, researching how we can redesign our economic system to avert the impending environmental catastrophe. This book is the result.
