Elections take place around the world. However, not every election is a democratic one. Examining electoral law, electoral organization and electoral systems, the study illustrates how national elections are conducted in democracies and autocracies in a clear and easy-to-understand way. In addition to introductory considerations of electoral theory, the book contains a range of legal and practical overviews and country examples, as well as a number of curiosities and cases of election manipulation.
