ARNOLD KRIEGSTIEN is the John G Bowes Distinguished Professor of Stem Cell and Tissue Biology and Director of the Institute for Regeneration Medicine at the University of California. HENRY KRIEGSTEIN is an ophthalmologist who practices in Massachusetts, and his other interests include astronomy and palaeontology.
