Beschreibung
A boy with no memories. A magical world under threat. A torch that could save them all ...

Inspired by the author's unique experience of memory-loss following brain injury comes the start of an incredible, immersive fantasy series.

When Jayben wakes up in the Memorywoods holding a golden torch, he can't remember anything that came before. He soon discovers that the elves are under threat - an evil force who calls itself Null is wiping their memories to gain control of the realms. For centuries, the elves have preserved their memories in jars hanging from trees, but now the forests are being burned down.

Jayben is a Great Dreamer who has been sent from Earth to help - if he can fix the broken golden torch, then the power will be unimaginable - the flame contains a magic so strong that peace will once again fall over the Memorywoods, and the elves will be free from evil forever.

There's just one problem - Jayben has blanks in his memories. Can he remember how to light the torch? Will he find the POWERFUL energy in time...

A story of great courage. Whatever pages are missing in your story, you can be the hero on the next page.

Über den Autor

At 19-years-old Thomas Leeds was hit by a London Black Cab. Whilst he was lucky to survive, his childhood memories did not. Unable to remember the places he loved as a child or to recognise faces, including those of his family, Thomas set about building a new life. Without knowing where his beginning was, he began adjusting to a future that included navigating the severe epilepsy that resulted from his brain injury. 11-years-later, creating an 80s playlist for his upcoming 30th, Thomas heard the first line of the Waterboys' The Whole of the Moon and his childhood memories began to emerge.

Thomas held on to those memories and with them came the seed of his debut Middle Grade novel, exploring and championing the power of memory and epilepsy. Nowadays, Thomas lives in Essex with his wife (the only face he can remember) and his two daughters.
