Über den Autor
Hal Bennett was born in Buckingham, Virginia, in 1930. Although raised in New Jersey, his memories of childhood summers in the South became the basis of the southern setting of his novels, which also include A Wilderness of Vines (1966) and Seventh Heaven (1976). He was the recipient of the Faulkner Award and was a fellow of the Centro Mexicano de Escritores. In 1970, he was selected most promising writer of the year by Playboy magazine.
