Über den Autor
Originally an actor with leading roles in the West End, Neil Rutherford first became Production Associate at the English National Opera and was Head of Casting for the Ambassador Theatre Group prior to setting up his own freelance company Neil Rutherford Casting. As well as his freelance writing, composing, casting and directing, he is Creative and Casting Consultant with ATG and Associate Director and Casting Director for musicals at the Sydney Opera House. Neil regularly lectures at the major UK drama schools in audition technique, holds masterclasses throughout the world, and has been an audition panelist and advisor to Channel 4, BBC, ITV, the BBC Performing Arts Fund Scholarships, The Actors Centre, Spotlight Actors Publications, and numerous drama schools in the UK. Neil is also a supporter, and ex-Board member, of the National Youth Music Theatre where he regularly gives lectures and masterclasses to the members of the company. His Musical Theatre Auditions and Casting was published by Methuen Drama in 2012.
