Goddard, Neil
Neil Goddard works in education as a consultant in behaviour. In his spare time he also works with his partner, Elizabeth, on picture books, getting ideas from seeing children in action. They have three children aged between 7 and 26, and a young granddaughter. Neil describes NEVER USE A KNIFE AND FORK, his first picture book for Macmillan, as "an affectionate response to the ingenuity of our children in avoiding any semblance of table manners".

Sharratt, Nick
Nick Sharratt is the prize-winning illustrator of many books for children of all ages, and has more than 100 books to his name. Known for his vibrant, witty illustrations, his picture books with Julia Donaldson include HIPPO HAS A HAT, ONE MOLE DIGGING A HOLE and CHOCOLATE MOUSSE FOR GREEDY GOOSE. He has also illustrated the bestselling LIFT-THE-FLAP FAIRY TALES for Macmillan. Nick lives in Brighton near the seaside and the famous pier.
