Beschreibung

Alan Thomas articulates and defends the view that human beings do possess moral and political knowledge but it is historically and culturally contextual knowledge in ways that, say, mathematical or chemical knowledge is not. He makes wide-ranging use of contemporary work in epistemology, moral philosophy, and political theory.

Über den Autor

Alan Thomas is Professor of Old Age Psychiatry at Newcastle University and works as a consultant psychiatrist in the National Health Service. A church elder with preaching and pastoral responsibilities, he is married to Shona and they have three adult children.
